Baadii Summer Residential Program

The Baadii Summer Residential Program 2026 is an immersive, eight-week arts residency set in the quiet rural landscapes of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Designed for emerging artists seeking depth, reflection, and grounded practice, the program offers space to slow down, observe, and engage deeply with one’s work in dialogue with nature, community, and the rhythms of mountain life.
Residents live and work at the Baadii Art House, where the emphasis is on process rather than production. The environment encourages artists to explore new directions, experiment freely, and develop a more intuitive relationship with their materials and methods. Through shared studios, field walks, community interactions, and facilitated sessions, participants gain time and clarity to expand their practice in meaningful ways.
The residency is shaped around peer learning and open exchange. Selected artists become part of a small, interdisciplinary cohort that grows together—sharing ideas, skills, informal critiques, and collaborative explorations. The focus is on nurturing artistic growth, building sensitivity to place, and reshaping one’s approach through immersion rather than output-driven pressure.
The program concludes with open studios, gatherings, and an intimate sharing of works-in-progress, offering residents the chance to reflect on their journey, articulate their learnings, and connect with the larger community.
